Sexual health – A new study shows once again that romance writers have written over the centuries: women prefer Bad Boys for flings and good for long term relationships.
When women think of "Mr. Right", is usually a kind, compassionate and moral man who reminds her of dad. But when it comes to choosing "Mr. Right Now", the proletariat is the evil that prevail, hands down.
Researchers tested the mating evolutionary theory a group of students with classic father-and CAD-prototype of the British novels and asked her to get attracted to the type they prefer.
Not surprisingly, they found a tendency for women to CADS on fathers than the length of the hypothetical relationship decreased elevated Pick.
"Approximately 60% of women said they prefer sex with a CAD when considering a brief affair," says researcher Daniel Kruger, a social psychologist at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research in a statement.
Sort of the fathers of the CADS
In the study, read the descriptive passages in the prototypical young women and fathers of the proletarians of the classic British novels drawn. Waverly in Waverly by Walter Scott and Valancourt, represented by the mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe, the fathers,
and George Staunton, from the Heart of Mid-Lothian and Clement Cleveland of The Pirate by Walter Scott representative of the proletariat.
In the passages that the fathers and home, happy, peaceful, Bookworm, moral, kind, compassionate, shy and honest. The workers broke so fat, arrogant, moody, passionate, rebellious, powerful, humorous, vulgar, clever, and defamatory.
After reading each description sought, researchers, the women a number of questions, including how much they thought they would be a sign of, like how well she and the men were, and how likely it would be a short term, long term and brief sexual relationship with each character.
To select more clearly, the women were also asked to sign, they would tend to a three weeks journey, a formal date you go to vote, for sexual relations to marry, and prefer to see their 25-years old daughter.
Bad Guys Get the Girls, Good Guys Keep Them
Overall the researchers found that the women thought they were the fathers of more than proletarians. But she pulled CADS for a short term relationship and fathers for the long term.
If one of the few father-and CAD choose characters, the father was the first choice for an official date, marriage and a son-in-law.
But the results were mixed at the other options. When it came to choosing what they like to have sexual relations or to go on tour, the women preferred the proletarians into a settlement, but no clear preference in the other.
Results appear in the current issue of the journal Human Nature.
Researchers say the results show that the father against cad distinction is intuitive to women, and if they seem just a brief character sketch, women to make informed decisions.
